The publication comprises a set of 15 volumes with about 15,000 pages, and has over 24,000 words
and phrases with the definitions taken from judgments reported from 1524 to 2007.
Dr Anandan Krishnan, who started the project almost 19 years ago, for coming out with a law lexicon that features local statutes and case law.

According to the author, the multitude of reference books, law dictionaries and lexicons currently available to the legal fraternity are
principally foreign orientated. "I felt that it was timely to systematically compile all legally and judicially defined words, phrases and maxims in the Malaysian context," he said at the launch at One World Hotel yesterday. Defining more than 24,000 words and phrases from about 483 years of recorded judgments, Anandan said that the legal dictionary
was a labour of love 15 years in the making.
